Original GT, older restoration, repainted in non-original GT color.
Introduction
This is an original Amazon 123 GT from 1967. The car was imported to the Netherlands in 1998 and has only had 1 owner since then. This is an older restoration, during this restoration the car was unfortunately repainted in color 80, an original Volvo color but in this color the 123 GT original was never delivered. The car provides a perfect basis to tackle and transform into a correct 123 GT.
Exterior
The body of the car is in nice condition, as are the rims with chrome hubcaps. Welding has already taken place on the car. During the previous restoration, the car was unfortunately painted in a new original color for a 123 GT. The chrome and rubbers are in reasonable condition. The doors close tightly.
Interior
The black interior is in neat condition. The headliner of the car and the door panels are in neat condition. The car is currently not equipped with a radio, the recess is present in the dashboard. The cover of the dashboard is in good condition.
Technical
Technically, the car is in original but good condition. The car is equipped with the well-known B18 engine with double SU carburetor. The engine is in fine condition, provides sufficient compression on all cylinders and will still deliver approximately the original power. Coupled to the four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, you can safely participate in today’s traffic. The suspension is standard but in fine condition and the brakes with brake booster work well.
